Описание: My presentation from the Northumbria University IPED symposium "Blame it on the juice?", 5th March 2024. I discuss the use of novel peptides / research chems for repair and wellbeing purposes, including injury repair and rehabilitation, anti-ageing and everyday wellbeing, looking at drugs such as BPC-157, TB-500 and CJC-1295. I also discuss issues that users highlight in relation to accessing GPs / healthcare providers, and how this motivates illicit market engagement. Finally, I explore the 'folk pharmacology' of digital forums, where information regarding use, harm reduction, and lived experiences with these experimental drugs are shared, along with information on product quality, seller reputations, and supply chains.
