KELSO DEPOT, CHINESE CEMETERY & KELSO DUNES!

Описание: Kelso Depot was once a major railroad station built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style in the early 20th century. It served as a stop along the Union Pacific Railroad's line between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. However, with the decline of rail travel, the depot was eventually closed in the 1980s.

The Chinese cemetery dates back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries when Chinese immigrants played a significant role in building the railroads in the American West. Many Chinese laborers worked under harsh conditions and faced discrimination during that time. The cemetery served as the final resting place for some of these individuals.

The Kelso Dunes are a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, photographers, and nature lovers. Visitors can hike to the top of the dunes, which is a challenging but rewarding experience, especially during sunrise or sunset when the play of light and shadow creates stunning views.
