EN - DRU—short for Diepenbrock en Reigers Ulft—was founded in 1754 in Ulft as a blast‑furnace ironworks. Originally producing cannonballs, hearth plates, pots, and pans, it grew under the Diepenbrock and Reigers families into a major 19th-and-20th-century industrial employer in the Achterhoek region. Eventually, the company expanded into enamelware, automotive parts, bathtubs, and by the 1960s, shifted focus to burners, gas fireplaces, and wood-burning stoves as the Netherlands transitioned to natural gas.

NL - DRU – een afkorting van Diepenbrock en Reigers Ulft – werd in 1754 in Ulft opgericht als hoogovenfabriek. Oorspronkelijk produceerde het bedrijf kanonskogels, haardplaten, potten en pannen, maar onder de families Diepenbrock en Reigers groeide het in de 19e en 20e eeuw uit tot een belangrijke industriële werkgever in de Achterhoek. Uiteindelijk breidde het bedrijf zich uit naar emaillewerk, auto-onderdelen en badkuipen, en in de jaren 60 verlegde het de focus naar branders, gashaarden en houtkachels toen Nederland overschakelde op aardgas.

SP - DRU (abreviatura de Diepenbrock en Reigers Ulft) se fundó en 1754 en Ulft como una herrería de alto horno. Originalmente producía balas de cañón, placas para hogares, ollas y sartenes, y creció bajo el liderazgo de las familias Diepenbrock y Reigers hasta convertirse en una importante fuente de empleo industrial en la región de Achterhoek durante los siglos XIX y XX.
