2 Orientation
Discuss your personal ideas for a coachbuilt motorcar and how we could help you achieve these. We schedule a meeting at a time and place convenient for you, preferably at your home where you are most at ease and surrounded with everything you like.


3 Choice
Once all possibilites and your dreams have been outlined, the global idea set and costs discussed, we will write an agreement on the steps we have agreed upon for your personal coachbuilt motorcar.


4 Design
Then the co-design process (we will design with you, not just for you) will start. We will present your ideas in ideation sketches, the inital thoughts put on paper. Later these will be developed once you have made a choice, into more refined and detailed renderings. Again a choice will be made.


5 Development
Once the design has been “frozen” we can either start clay modelling on full scale, or use CAD computer technology to design your car digitally. The clay or the CAD model will help refine the design even further and will be used to produce your one-off car. Together with our top-end suppliers we will develop your personalised car design into a road going vehicle.


6 Launch
Depending on your ideas and wishes, we can origanise either a very private launch just for you and your loved onces. Alternatively we could arrange a local or even global press launch of your coachbuilt vehicle by Niels van Roij Design.

Coachbuilding has a long history and tradition that stretches back over 100 years. In the early motoring days, when series production did not yet exist, the process of acquiring a new vehicle involved purchasing a chassis. After that, the customer approached a carrozzeria or coachbuilder, requesting a personal body design to be fitted on the chassis.
