In UAE, Arada awarded a contract valued at US$87.7 Mn to build eight premium apartment buildings in Aljada, Sharjah on its Tiraz project to Mohammed Abdulmohsen Al-Kharafi & Sons. Work on the buildings will start immediately, and construction is scheduled to take 18 months to complete.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced the discovery of natural gas resources offshore of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Interim results from the first exploration well in Abu Dhabi’s Offshore Block 2 Exploration Concession operated by Eni, indicate between 1.5 – 2 trillion standard cubic feet (TSCF) of raw gas in place.

Nakheel has awarded a contract to Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC) for infrastructure work and the construction of 620 residences at Murooj Al Furjan master development.

The AlUla Development Company (UDC) and Seera Group Holding have agreed to form a joint venture company to develop and operate a Choice-branded Clarion Hotel. The 215-key hotel, estimated to cost US$45 million and will be developed on a land of 9,000 square metres.

Egyptian developer Leopard Construction has launched two residential projects - Cairo Cannes and East Cairo at a total investment of about $445 million. Canadian Consultant is the principal consultant for both the projects.
