With the recent increase in attacks on minorities, and censorship of art, media and so on in India, it's clear that the problem is only escalating, and none of us gain anything by trying to treat hindu nationalists as worthy of respect.

Liberal concessions, lack of justice for hate, and a lack/suppression of basic historical education has most definitely helped erode the moral fabric of society in India. If we're being honest the future seems destined to mirror the unsinkable aircraft carrier that the US has in the middle east, getting away with blatant crimes.
