Standing waves are a situation where two waves going in opposite direction cause the waves to appear stationary in set frequencies, in a situation called resonance.
Correction : the fundamental IS the first harmonic
In this video I do a demonstration of standing waves on a string as well as a guitar and then explain the physics behind standing waves, including some calculations
