BMW M2 CS Racing: Accelerations & Sound in action at Monza Circuit!

Описание: This video is about some new BMW M2 CS Racing cars I recorded testing at Autodromo Nazionale Monza a couple of days ago during a test day organized by Kateyama. The car was developed by BMW M Motorsport and introduced in mid 2020, continuing a long tradition in entry-level motor racing as was the case with both predecessors, the BMW M235i Racing and BMW M240i Racing. The car is born to provide ambitious teams and drivers with an affordable opportunity to pursue their passion for motor racing, while helping talented young drivers and amateurs to take their driving skills to the next level at the wheel of a real racing car.

The M2 CS Racing is powered by a BMW S55 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-6 engine, which is controlled using power sticks (as it happens also on the M4 GT4) enabling various performance levels to be programmed and utilized, depending on the balance of performance specified. Customers can buy two different versions: the basic one which can have an adjustable power between 280 and 365 hp and a more powerful version able to produce up to 450hp. Depending on the regulations, either the 365 hp or 450 hp will be in action but the more powerful version in particular will be used for track days and clubsport events. The engine is linked to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The M2 Racing features also some specific racing driving aids, such as ABS and DSC, a mechanical limited slip differential with pre-load and separate cooling and specially manufactured drive shafts.

The main fields of activity in motorsport for the BMW M2 CS Racing are the variety of different one-make cups, from the one of the 2021 DTM season to the Racing Cup NLS (which is held within the framework of the Nürburgring Endurance Series), various national cups (Netherland-Belgium and Italy) or it can be fielded in other championship in which these M2 are admitted under the TC (Touring Car) class, such as the Creventic 24h Series, TC America, TC France, and national platforms at grass-roots level.
