The Latin cases are a sort of contextual framework for nouns. Every language has cases, it's just a matter of whether or not they affect changes on the words that they interact with. In the case of Latin, they very much have an obvious, noticeable effect on words — however in this video we will simply make sense of the overall concept of grammatical cases, using English examples for ease of learning. One thing at a time!
The 6 Latin cases are as follows:
Nominative - Genitive - Dative - Accusative - Ablative - Vocative
Not to worry, if that sounds like a lot of technical jargon, there are very simple memory hooks we can attach to each of these to make sense of them and to burn them into our memories!
