Hundreds protest in Amsterdam against in solidarity with refugees and Gaza

Описание: Hundreds of protesters gathered on Amsterdam’s Dam Square on Saturday to demonstrate for a more tolerant migration policy and in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The protest came after Dutch far-right Party for Freedom leader Geert Wilders attempted to nominate a Dutch-Israeli politician Gidi Markuszower, who had been labeled a security risk to the Netherlands by the Dutch secret service in 2010, as the cabinet’s new immigration minister earlier in the week.

Wilders later changed his mind after receiving a secret service report, and nominated Marjolein Faber, who has been accused of racism and bigotry, instead.
