In today's video, I will show you how to create a star stitch afghan block. This block is part of the Birthstone Blanket CAL, which is linked below.

The star stitch afghan block consists of a 2 row repeat, so it a good pattern for adventurous beginners and skilled crocheters alike!
For this project, you will need a worsted weight yarn and a 5.5 mm crochet hook.
*Stitch update: for the first side of the border, you will only work 1 sc into the ch 1, 1 sc into the side of the star stitch and 1 sc into the side of the hdc row*
