The lyrics and melody to this song are some of my favorites. I remember listening to this song when I was a child and the line that always stood out to me was "there were some who did not understand".

I think that phrase has even more significance today, but at times I feel like there are many people who refuse to "try" to understand their neighbor and often times aren't even willing to "listen" to someone that might not be like them. There are so many things one can learn from studying the life of Jesus.
