Set amidst the serene farmland of Tamil Nadu, The Croft Residence is a 5,750 sq. ft. modern farm home designed by Mindworks Architecture for a young couple. More than a weekend retreat, the house is envisioned as a space for slow living, shared moments, and a deep connection with nature.
Defined by Porotherm jali walls, high-pitched roofs, and a central skylight court, the home allows natural light, wind, and greenery to shape everyday life. Pocket gardens and seamless indoor-outdoor connections dissolve the boundaries between architecture and landscape. At the same time, warm materials like rubble stone, wooden cladding, kota flooring, and handmade tiles lend the home a rooted, tactile character.
