Is your cigarette lighter socket or 12V power outlet not working in your BMW 3-Series (E90, E91, E92, E93)? The most common cause is a blown fuse!

In this video, we'll show you exactly where the fuse box is located (behind the glove compartment) and how to identify and replace the correct fuse for your cigarette lighter/accessory power outlet. This applies to the sedan (E90), wagon (E91), coupe (E92), and convertible (E93) models.

⚠️ Important: The fuse number can vary depending on your car's year and specific model. The most common fuses are Fuse #8 and Fuse #30, and they are typically a 20 Amp (Yellow) mini-fuse. Always check the diagram on the back of your fuse box cover for the exact location and symbol (usually a small icon of a cigarette lighter).

Remove the old, blown fuse using the fuse puller tool.

Install the new 20A mini-fuse.

Test your 12V power outlet!
