ABOUT THE 1967 LAMBORGHINI MIURA P400

Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone in 1966 when he was just 26 years old, the Miura P400 is widely considered the world's first modern supercar — and by many the most beautiful car ever made. Its transversely mounted mid-engine V12 layout set the template for every supercar that followed. Only 474 P400 examples were ever built. Road & Track called it "the most exciting road car in the world." Ferrari's Pininfarina designers reportedly went quiet when it was unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show. Watching one come back from complete abandonment to full restoration is as close to resurrection as the automotive world gets.
