There are many ways to tune in Forza, but I wanted to find a faster way to build quality setups. Learn more about how the first Forza tuning app came to be...

Hey, my name is Anthony and I’ve been playing Forza since the very first Forza game way back in 2005.

My early attempts at tuning were pretty frustrating and probably made the cars drive a lot worse.

Even in the instruction booklet it said “Tuning is a complicated process....there is no ‘right’ setting. The best setting will change by track, by car and by driver”.

These are the creators of Forza saying you have to work all of these things together to get a tune right.

Makes you feel a little overwhelmed, doesn't it?

So I went online to learn how to tune...and it was a confusing mess.

The tuning methods people talked about were painfully slow.

It was a confusing mess.

And the math or the numbers that you get aren't even that accurate.

Eventually many of us moved to spreadsheets to make the math less of a chore. But breaking out the laptop each time I wanted to race was ridiculous.

Then the iPhone came out, and ForzaTune was born not long after the App Store first opened.

Well the first logo actually looked like this.

Having the power of a spreadsheet in the palm of your hand quickly made it the most popular tuning app in the Forza community.

But ForzaTune would need to go beyond what you could find online or in a YouTube video. If I was going to put this much work into an app I wanted to make it the best that I could make it.

It needed to deliver results faster and be easier to use than any other option.

It needed to adapt the the driver, the car and the track - quickly.

Because that's the only way that you are going to get a tune that really feels right.

So I dusted off my engineering textbooks, and used ideas from real-life race teams.

And found ways to adapt them for Forza.

I emerged from the complex world of tuning theory…with the version of ForzaTune Pro you can download today.

It took many years but

the new formulas gave great results with just a few details about your car.

Not just better tunes, but better tunes faster.

This whole process kind of changed what Forza meant to me.

In the same way that a player can become the coach,

I found it very rewarding to help thousands upon thousands of other racers become better.
