The Rajya Sabha begins proceedings of the Budget Session from today. Proceedings are expected to be disrupted by protests and heated exchanges over the UGC row, VB G Ram G bill, and other issues pushed by Opposition. FM Nirmala Sitharaman will present Economic Survey in the Lok Sabha today, before it is tabled in the Upper House. The Union Budget 2026 will be presented by the Finance Minister on February 1.
