Rapid surge in Covid cases continues in Kerala, central government issues caution

The rapid surge in Covid cases in the state of Kerala is alarming. In the last 24 hours, 32,000 fresh Covid cases has been registered and 188 people lost their lives and this now has become an everyday report. It has been 4 months since the positivity rate of Covid cases hasn't lowered down from 10%. As of today, the positivity rate is 18.41% which has become a major concern for both the state government and the health ministry. Thrissur district of Kerala reports 4,334 cases which is the highest in the state. The state has become the major contributor of Covid-19 cases as 70% of the total cases in the country are alone from Kerala. The central government has issued caution and said that everyone who is being involved in mass gathering must be fully vaccinated and the festivals should be celebrated in the same manner as last year.
