In 2016, the first European Web Survey on Drugs was launched. It ran in 16 countries and more than 80 000 people participated!

In 2021, this survey will run in over 30 EU and neighbouring countries… and we want you to be part of it!

Who are we? We are an EU agency that informs policy and practice on drugs and drug addiction. We collect data and information - ultimately to shape future drug policies and we need your help!

In the past, information on patterns of drug use was only collected with General Population Surveys. They give us information that is representative of the population, but they lack detail.

With web surveys, we can reach people who use drugs directly. These surveys are quick to set up, they get us new data fast and we can spot drug trends more rapidly. Thanks to the last web survey, we already know better which drugs are consumed, how often, and how much is taken on each occasion in different countries.

This is valuable information we never had before!

If we continue to develop a common approach to reach different user groups, and if the same questions are used, along with a rigorous translation process, then web-based surveys can allow us to make cross-national comparisons.
