On 16 October 2025, SUHAKAM, together with Progressive Voice and the Alternative ASEAN Network on Burma (ALTSEAN-Burma) organized a Joint Forum on Strengthening the Regional Accountability: ASEAN's Failure on Women, Youth, Peace and Security in Myanmar.
The objectives of the forum are to update relevant stakeholders in Malaysia about the situation of women and youth in Myanmar, their aspirations, resilience and challenges they are facing in time of struggle for a new federal democratic Myanmar; and to seek solidarity and stronger support from Malaysia for the women and youth of Myanmar including their humanitarian missions and steadfast movement to end the military’s tyranny, impunity and gender-based violence and to achieve gender equality as they are striving for a federal democratic and inclusive Myanmar that will advance justice and accountability.
