Backing onto the River Avon, one historic cottage recently saw Pure Structures and Mabey Hire come together to lift the entire building by 450mm, returning it to a 1 in 1,000-year likelihood of flooding.
Located in close proximity to the River Avon, the historic residential property had suffered from severe flooding over the last two winters, with up to eight inches of water devastating the property’s interior. After initial discussions between the property owner and Pure Structures, a unique solution was proposed of lifting the building by 450mm, to protect it from future flooding events.
