Removing trapped air bubbles from liquids by conventional methods can be challenging, especially when the bubbles are stabilized by a detergent. Ultrasonic degassing is very useful in this case. Ultrasonic removal of air bubbles from water with detergent is illustrated in this video. The experiment was conducted in the batch mode with a laboratory-scale ultrasonic processor, LSP-500, produced by Industrial Sonomechanics, LLC. Ultrasonic systems allowing this process to be carried out continuously on laboratory, bench and industrial scales are also available.
