PepsiCo, a leading global Food and Beverage brand partnered with Addverb to automate the distribution centre of its largest greenfield snack manufacturing facility at Kosi-Kalan in Uttar Pradesh, India. Our proprietary solutioning process helped us to co-create an innovative automation solution with PepsiCo as described below.

We visited several existing PepsiCo sites to understand their process and interacted extensively with stakeholders at all levels right from operators in factories to leaders at head office. This helped us Discover key information and generate critical insights into their material handling process.

Post this, our solutions team worked extensively with the PepsiCo team to Design a creative solution for their warehouse, encompassing Multi-Pro (Mother-Child Shuttle), Rapido (Pick/Put-To-Light) & Mobinity (Warehouse Control System). What really set this solution apart was that the base of the Dense Racking System was modified to create aisles for Rainbow-Pallet (Mixed SKU Pallet) formation through Rapido. The entire solution gives a very high throughput through dynamic allocation of pick faces for picking and put-away operations.

Once the solution was finalised, we worked through Covid times and lockdowns to Deliver this project in a smooth manner and helped PepsiCo to quickly ramp up the solution through Dedicated Support by providing highly skilled engineers for on-site support post-commissioning.
