In this video, I share one of our calm and simple days at home. 🤍
I prepare a simple dinner for iftar and make lazy khychiny — a quick and delicious homemade dish. I also share a few moments from my daily routine, including cooking and everyday home tasks.

I also make a simple bird feeder using easy materials and hang it outside. Small things that make the home and the day feel a little cozier. 🌿🐦

Lazy Khychins
Ingredients:

Potatoes – 5 pcs
Hard cheese – 100 g (grated)
Chicken egg – 1
Wheat flour – 1.5 cups
Salt – 3 pinches
Ground black pepper – 1 pinch
Butter – 40 g

Instructions:

Peel the potatoes, rinse them with water, and cut them into small pieces directly into a pot or cauldron. Add the bay leaves, sprinkle in the salt, and pour in hot water. Boil the potatoes until tender, about 20 minutes.

Drain the liquid into a cup or bowl and mash the potatoes with a potato masher until smooth. Transfer the mashed potatoes to a plate or another deep bowl and let them cool slightly so the egg won’t cook when added.
Add the egg to the mashed potatoes and sprinkle in the ground black pepper. Mix the mixture thoroughly. Gradually add the wheat flour and knead a firm dough, trying not to add too much flour. Don’t forget to leave some flour for rolling out the dough.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 15–20 minutes. Then pinch off a piece of dough and roll it into a round flat layer. Sprinkle grated hard cheese over it, fold the edges from all sides, and roll it out again.
Prepare several pieces before frying, as they cook very quickly. Heat a dry frying pan over medium heat. Place the dough piece on the pan and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side until golden brown spots appear.
Transfer it to a plate and immediately brush with butter while placing the next piece on the pan. Cook all the flatbreads this way and brush each one with butter.
