Northland Road Trip Day 2 | Paihia, Haruru Falls, Waitangi & Whangarei Falls

Описание: Day 2 of our Northland region trip started on a beautiful Boxing Day morning in Whangārei. We woke up refreshed and enjoyed a fun, relaxing time in the hotel swimming pool, the perfect way to start the day.

Our next stop was Paihia, one of the most vibrant and scenic towns in the Bay of Islands. With its stunning coastal views and lively atmosphere, Paihia is a paradise for adventure lovers—offering activities like boat cruises, dolphin encounters, kayaking, parasailing, and island hopping. It’s a place where you can easily spend an entire day soaking in the beauty and energy of the ocean.

After enjoying lunch in Paihia, we headed to the peaceful Haruru Falls, a wide, horseshoe-shaped waterfall surrounded by lush greenery—calm, refreshing, and perfect for a short stop. From there, we visited the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, a place of great cultural and historical importance in New Zealand.

On our way back to Whangārei, we stopped at the stunning Whangārei Falls. Light rain throughout the evening made the surroundings even more magical, adding a serene and dramatic feel to the views.

After an amazing two days filled with nature, culture, and adventure, we finally headed back to Auckland. This Northland trip will always remain one of our most memorable journeys.
