STORYLINE:
Dozens of supporters of Kataib Hezbollah gathered in Baghdad on Monday to mourn fighters killed by airstrikes in al-Qaim in western Iraq.

Four militiamen from the prominent Iranian-backed group in Iraq have been killed in two airstrikes in the town located on the Iraqi- Syrian border.

Two airstrikes struck the position where members of the Kataib Hezbollah militia were based, two militia officials told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Kataib Hezbollah is part of an umbrella group of Iran-backed militias dubbed the Islamic Resistance which has claimed rocket and exploding drone attacks on U.S. bases in the country in solidarity with Tehran.
