Tata Motors is set to launch its new Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) manufacturing plant in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu this February 2026, marking a major milestone in India’s automotive sector. The state-of-the-art factory, built on a ₹9,000-crore investment, will fully manufacture luxury JLR vehicles locally for the first time, starting with the Range Rover Evoque and followed by models like the Range Rover Velar. This greenfield plant is expected to create around 5,000 jobs, boost exports, support Make in India goals, and strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position as a key global EV and luxury car production hub.
