Clone is a copy of a Virtual Machine.
Differences between Clone and Template.
Clone has all the same configuration of the original vm. But Template does not have the same configuration.

Benefits of Clone!
Clone can be created for backup copy of the vm.
Clone the VM to a Template and then use it to deploy ther VM’s
