Sri Nidanampati Sri Lakshmi Ammavaru temple is located at Adigoppala Village of Durgi Mandal in Guntur District. Adigoppala Village is at a distance of 19 KMs to Sri Chennakesava Swamy temple, Macherla and at a distance of 82 KMs to Sri Trikoteswara Swamy temple, Kotappakonda. As per the vertion of elder people of this area, Sri Parvathi Ammavaru was born to Sri Yaganti Ramaiah and Sugunamma with the curse of Maharshi “Siladudu" and she was named as sri Lakshmi. As she got pregnancy before her maturity her brothers killed her by litting fire. Since then some devotees begin to performed Poojas to her at the place where she was killed, with a strong faith that Sri Lakshmi incarnated as Ammavaru. Every Sunday there will be congregation of devotees from all over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and Performed Poojas by offering “ Pongallu”, “Pasupu” and “ Kunkuma”.
