This news documentary showcases the most famous intangible cultural heritage in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, which is called yuminhua(fisherman 's painting). This documentary is filmed and produced by Miao, Ziyi and Kefan, under Dr. Vikrant Kishore 's supervision. This documentary introduced to audience about yuminhua 's painting's history, the process of painting yuminhua, to help audience understand the unneglectable influence of yuminhua, to the fisherman culture of Zhoushan. This documentary would also discover the local people and government
's attempt of protecting this intangible cultural heritage.
This documentary contains three different interviews with the following people: Zhiqin Li, the overseer of yuyue(fisherman's happiness) painting club, who share her past experience about producing and display yuminhua to the rest part of country that barely know anything about yuminhua. She will also introduce that how to draw yuminhua from the very first step, and also talk briefly about yuminhua 's history; Qinjin, the owner of Zhoushan Small courtyard, Zhoushan Small courtyard is a government sponsored co.ltd that teach gen Z kids how to make intangible cultural artifacts, and Qinjin could probably the most experienced master of multiple intangible cultural heritages in Zhoushan. She will briefly introduce what she has done to help gen Zs figure out what is intangible cultural heritage, and her cooperation with government projects about intangible cultural heritage; Shenze Wang, government officer who worked in a government intangible cultural heritage protecting project during his first year that working as a government officer. He would explain the effort which government is putting into yuminhua 's protection.
This documentary aims to let audience know the importance of protecting yuminhua- as not only an intangible cultural heritage, but also a form of fine art. The inheritance would only be endured if most individuals of society know the enchantment of yuminhua.
This documentary emphasizes the effort that the government of Zhoushan and professional painters have put in protecting yuminhua as a form of intangible cultural heritage. It also tries to call everyone to act, to inherit yuminhua.
