Описание: Syed Muhammad Jafari (1905 - 1976) was one of the pre-eminent humorous Urdu poets of the 20th century, famous for his sophisticated satire, cultured humor, and brilliant use of lines from masters such as Ghalib and Iqbal for maximum effect.

This classic poem on Karachi's traffic (in the 1950s!) is from a mushaira held at the home of Chaudhry Khaleeq-uz-Zaman, 19 Kutchery Road, Karachi, in 1958.
