Disregarding the hazards, when it comes to working in and around excavations, may be the last decision you ever make.
Did you know that most trench fatalities occur in excavations, including for trenchless projects, that are only 5- to 15-feet deep?
They often occur where there is no trained competent person assigned to oversee the work.
These types of incidents happen more often than you may think.
Trenches cave in frequently and workers are killed or seriously injured.
If companies would be sure to take the time to train workers and spend a few dollars on trench protection, they could all be prevented.
