Homemade moving panoramas, sometimes called “crankies,” were much smaller than typical moving panoramas used in traveling performances. This toy panorama features a variety of images, including a circus tent, equestrian performers, a hot air balloon, and a grand ballroom. The creator would have devised various narrations to entertain friends and family while scrolling through the scenes.
