Many of these bans stem from the use of cloned games, often via devices like MIG carts, triggering Error Code 2124-4508, though some users claim innocence, prompting debates over the fairness and transparency of Nintendo's actions and EULA.

Why Consoles Are Being Banned:
Piracy/Modding: Nintendo's End User License Agreement (EULA) allows them to disable consoles for piracy, running unauthorized software, or tampering with system protections.

Cloned Games: A major issue involves second-hand Switch 1 game cartridges that were illegally copied onto flash carts (like MIG carts) and sold, leading to innocent buyers having their Switch 2 banned when playing them.
