Playing in the Whomping Willow 6_10

Описание: IMPORTANT It's crucial to understand that in Australia there are far more raptors then probably anywhere else in the world per ratio, there are raptors out every... single... day.... We fly with them daily just as the millions of wild parrots do.
This is where you should NEVER compare a pet indoor parrot to a properly trained free flight parrot. They are apples and oranges in terms of development.
Our parrots are able to think on the wing, respond and manage danger appropriately just as any other wild parrot would. As stated prior we fly alongside raptors daily, not all raptors are a threat and it actually takes specific factors to be at play for attack to occur.
While our parrots can be outdoors alongside raptors without issue this does not mean a pet indoor bird can be placed in the same situation, the moment a pet indoor bird is spotted the risks become very real. I explain this in detail here www.adventuresofroku.com/Educational.php

The important thing is to not let ignorance drive your fear and cause you to act out by posting nasty comments, instead read up on the science based information first and get the facts to form a accurate picture, this is in regard to people making continual comparisons to pet indoor birds to free flight ones.
Here is an example I have come up with to highlight the flaw in this thinking.
Someone states "this is irresponsible! are you not aware a hawk/eagle can just snatch your bird at any minute?! are you not afraid?!"
Now... to me I see this statement/question the same as one parent (bird owner or concerned viewer) asking another parent by the swimming pool "are you not afraid of you child drowning?! its very deep!"
Now if you have contact and facts it can look like this.
Parent A has a 9yo male child, who has been taking swimming lessons since he was pretty much a toddler, he has now reached an advanced level of swimming and competes.
Parent B has a 9yo male child who has never really had much to do with swimming and does not even know the basics.
Both children are the same age, same build, same height & same weight... however their brain development and experiences are drastically different and if both were to be placed in the middle of the pool the outcome would be horrific for one but not the other.
Parent A is relaxed and confident watching their child swim because they are competent and have the ability.
Parent B is driven by fear and worry due to their child not being competent and or little knowledge that children that young can even swim....(ie birds free fly) so you see having facts and context helps. So please be sure to read through the info in the link above and in pinned post.

As you can see asiatics (alexandrines/ringnecks etc) love to fly loooong, wide and high! it's beautiful. it's worth noting that this is our friends property (horse School) so her birds are very very familiar with the entire property (over 1000acres) which is why they love to fly up near the house, so dont panic or worry it's all normal and safe :)
-
Alexandrines and ringnecks are extremely fast fliers, not many if any of the parrots can really keep up with them which is why Aslan (male Alex) got a friend, one of my baby female alexandrines! :D it brings me so much joy to see her doing so well and having fun :)

Its Roku & Pabu's turn for a free flight day at the farm! (as seen in last video uploads it was Korra's)
As I've explained in many other videos Roku, Korra and Pabu cannot often be taken out together due to their dynamics creating hostile environments and each one or at least x2 getting hurt and upset.
Sibling rivalry/jealousy can be a yucky thing when your so excited to be out having fun with dad!

Everyone LOVES this particular tree, its not actually a willow but it reminds us of the whomping will from Harry Potter, it also takes a beating on playdates because our little feathered monsters thrash around it like its a brand new playground and they only have 10mins of playtime left lol
