DIY Smart Presence Sensor – Automate Your Lights Like a Pro

Описание: Tired of motion sensors that fail to detect you when you’re sitting still? Or lights turning on when you just walk past a room? This smart presence detector is the solution!

In this video, I show you how to build a presence-based smart light sensor using an ESP32-Wroom, an LD2410C mmWave sensor, and a VEML7700 light sensor. Unlike traditional motion sensors, this one only sends essential data to Home Assistant, reducing unnecessary processing and database clutter.

💡 How It Works:
✅ Detects actual presence instead of just motion
✅ Measures ambient light levels to avoid turning lights on when it’s already bright
✅ Processes everything locally and only sends "light_on" or "light_off" via MQTT
✅ Reduces data traffic and improves Home Assistant efficiency
