Welcome back to RBR! Today is a huge day and part 1 of 2 new cars being collected — and today I’m collecting my brand new #MercedesAMG GT55 V8 coupé, and this isn’t just any GT: this is the world’s first #AMG GT built in their new extended Manufaktur “PTS-style” custom programme, with a stunning spec that I can’t wait to show you!

If you caught my recent Garage Reset video (link:    • SOLD ALL MY CARS?! Garage Reset + TWO New ...   ) - then you’ll know I sold every single one of my cars: the Porsche Spyder RS, my GT Black Series, the BMW M2, and even my long-owned C63 Black Series. Alongside that I also said goodbye to my Porsche 911 GT3 Touring and the Mercedes GLC 300de Hybrid. It was the end of an era — but also the start of a new chapter.

This AMG GT 55 represents the pinnacle of that reset. My 8th AMG GT, and the first one I’ve been able to spec through Manufaktur in true “PTS” style — a completely new paint shade, and an epic interior and wheel combo that stands apart from any other GT on the road. In fact, it’s the very first customer car in the world with this bespoke finish!

I’ll also go over how ordering in the UK has changed to allow for more options like this, and how I helped with this process! And why I was able to buy two new cars, where it’s something I have actively said isn’t viable these days.

This isn’t replacement for my GT3 Touring, which is a car I will buy again one day — but a continuation of my AMG GT journey so far — but now with 4 seats and the ability to enjoy with others for the first time. And as I said, this is just part one, the first step in rebuilding my new dream garage: My new AMG E53 Plug-In Hybrid daily driver has just finished its Topaz transformation, and that reveal is coming next! :)
