FIRST E2 IN MONTREAL !!! Porter Embraer ERJ-195 E2 in YUL / CYUL

Описание: Always a treat to welcome a new aircraft type to Montreal... not a huge fan of the Porter titles though... It is still so weird to see a Porter jet, that will be hard to get use to.

Porter Airlines is a Canadian regional airline based at Toronto City Centre (YTZ). They started operations in 2006 catering to business travellers with their easy access to downtown Toronto. They operate a fleet of 29 Bombardier Dash 8-Q400's and in 2021 they expand.... With an order of 45 Embraer ERJ-195 E2 jets!
As Toronto City Centre does not allow jets, the airline will be adding Toronto-Pearson as a new hub, furthermore they announced plans to make Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax hubs as well. This is the largest expansion in the airlines' history.
The E2 will seat 132 people in a 2 class layout; 16 premium seats and 120 economy (20 as preferred seating). The airline has big plans to expand into North America, They have already announced flights to Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.

Porter is officially the first and only carrier in North America to operate the Embraer ERJ-195 E2! The E2 is based off the widely successful Embraer E-Jet family. Air Canada operated the E-190 for many years and still currently operates the E-175 (as Jazz).

Porter has been busy preparing the E2 for its inaugural flight on February 1st. The airline currently operates 5 E2's which has been busy training flight and ground crews ahead of their inaugural flight across their hubs.
The visit also marks the first ever visit of the E2 to Montreal, what a wonderful visit. I am so happy to welcome a new aircraft type to Montreal!
