Sometimes, it is much easier to have a vertical setup, easy to position subjects, easy lighting, etc. But do we have to move the camera for focus stacking? How about keeping camera fixed and move the subject? Yes. Here is one such setup using a simple tripod.
One of such configuration is that the rail does not have to move heavy equipment where vibration, heavy load can be an issue. For example, some setup can weigh over 10kg. Besides putting a lot of burden on the rail, it is rather complicated to set the whole thing up. The solution presented here can easily mitigate that.
There are a lot more benefits, but the goal here is to present another way to configure a focus stacking setup.
