In the quest to obtain floor joists to rebuild the barn loft, I ordered a chainsaw mill so that I could mill them myself from some blown down pine trees.
This video captures my first time using a chainsaw mill to make lumber. The mill is the Granberg Small Log Mill, model G777, paired with a Stihl MS261c chainsaw with an 18 inch bar. This was a difficult log to mill as it wasn’t really straight, but it yielded a 6x6, a 3.5x6 and a 2x10.
