Catamount - Sidewinder to Fisher's Fluke

Описание: Sidewinder to Fisher's Fluke is an intermediate ski run located at Catamount Ski Resort. The trails run from the summit of the ski area, down to the base area. The run begins on Sidewinder, which begins to the skier's left off of the summit of the ski area. At an intersection near the top of the Glade chairlift, the trail stays to the left, drops into a few small dips. The trail then makes a slight turn to the left, flattening out and running straight for a bit. Eventually, I exited the trail to the right onto Fisher's Fluke. Fisher's Fluke features a couple of large, sweeping turns as it winds its way down the mountain, eventually merging back onto the bottom of Sidewinder, just before reaching the base area.

Catamount Ski Resort is a ski area located in Egremont, Massachusetts, and Hillsdale, New York. The ski area is unique in that it is only one of three ski areas in the United States to be located in two states, the others being Heavenly in California and Nevada, and Lookout Pass in Montana and Idaho. In Massachusetts, the ski area is located just a few miles west of the town of Great Barrington, about an hour drive west of Springfield and a 2.5-hour drive west of Boston. On the New York side, the ski area is located about an hour south of Albany and about 2.5 hours north of New York City. The ski area is known for its wide variety of terrain, from a great beginner section to a wonderful collection of intermediate trails, and to some challenging steeps, Catamount has a good variety for a mountain of its size. The resort is popular with those from Western Massachusetts, New York City, and Connecticut due to its close proximity to multiple large cities. Catamount is owned by the Schaefer Family, along with fellow Massachusetts ski area Berkshire East and Bosquet. Catamount shares a season pass with Berkshire East and Bosquet, the Berkshire Summit Pass, and is also on the Indy Pass, granting pass holders two days each at the mountain.
