In March of 2019, a young woman named Magen walked into the Maricopa police department with a disturbing story to tell. Her mother, 47 Year old Machelle Hobson, had been doing horrific, unimaginable things to Magen’s 7 adopted siblings. After receiving the tip, the police conducted a surprise welfare check and what they found was disturbing and absolutely heartbreaking. But what made the situation even crazier, is that this family had a large online presence. The 7 children were the stars of a very popular YouTube family channel called Fantastic Adventures, and Machelle Hobson was the puppet master behind the scenes. With nearly 1 million subscribers and quickly growing, the Fantastic Adventures channel was extremely successful and Machelle was pulling in several thousands of dollars per month. She was living the good life, but her 7 children were living a nightmare.
