In today’s legal chat, Sue You Soon has the privilege to have a conversation with Mr. Tariq Khan [Principal Associate, Advani and Co.] who is here to share his experience from being a law student to being one of the foremost arbitration practitioners in the country.

Mr. Khan completed his law from Faculty of Law, Jamia Milia Islamia post-which in 2014, he joined Advani and Co. as an Associate. In 2020, he was designated as a Principal Associate a position which he currently holds. Skilled in international and domestic arbitrations, MSME disputes, writs, commercial, employment, insolvency, and bankruptcy laws. He has represented some of the biggest global players in various disputes including construction, supply, joint venture, oil & gas, infrastructure and renewable energy space. Mr. Khan has handled arbitrations under SIAC (Singapore International Arbitration Centre) Rules, ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) Rules, DIAC (Delhi International Arbitration Centre) Rules, ICA (Indian Council of Arbitration) Rules etc. Furthermore, he is experienced in handling arbitration related litigation like appointment of arbitrators, injunctions, interim reliefs, removal and substitution of arbitrators, challenging of arbitral awards, enforcement of awards etc. in various courts of India.
