Businessman - Movie Synopsis

The commissioner of Mumbai arrests the last don of the country and declares that the era of Mumbai underworld has ended. At this juncture Surya (Protagonist) enters Mumbai with an aim of becoming the biggest don ever. He stays in his friend Aslam’s room. Aslam keeps on explaining to Surya about the hardships of surviving in the raw and rustic city of Mumbai, let alone becoming a don. Surya shoos away Aslam’s fear.

In the process of making his dreams come true Surya meets Chitra, who is the daughter of the commissioner. He confuses her in the first go and makes her bewitched by his wit.

One day in Dharavi slum, bankers forcefully hurl away all the items from the defaulters’ homes for the nonpayment of the bank dues. Surya makes a promise to them that he makes the slum debt-free within two weeks.

Surya meets an ex-minister, Paresh and impresses him with his smartness and guts. Paresh connects to Surya instantly and feels confident about his abilities. He refers to Surya for the first time as ‘Bhai’.

Surya keeps his promise and makes the slum debt-free. He becomes a demi-god for Dharavi people. All the slum-dwellers get ready to do anything for Surya.

Surya who is considered as a Bhai for many of his people depicts himself as a passionate lover before Chitra. He impresses her in such a way that she is left with no other choice but to love him.
Chitra gets totally obsessed with Surya. By this time the commissioner learns that his daughter is in love with Surya. Commissioner orders an inquiry about Surya and his background.


In an upcoming Mayor election Surya’s candidate gets nominated against central minister Chidambaram’s candidate. A bunch of goons sent by Chidambaram attack Surya. He knocks them down.

At this point Chitra calls Surya and says that she is in trouble and seeks his help.

Later it is revealed that it’s the Commissioner’s plan to trap Surya.

Chitra learns that Surya loved her just for the sake of his business and gets enraged. Chitra with anguish and hatred scolds Surya that he cheated on her by pretending love. Surya with tears in his eyes affirms her that he began impressing her for the sake of business but now he truly loves her. She doesn’t believe him.

Surya gets arrested.

Paresh puts all his efforts to get Surya released. But his attempts fail. The commissioner tries to put all the possible cases against Surya to file a strong FIR. But the commissioner’s attempts become in vain as his daughter gets kidnapped by Surya’s gang. Now he is left with no other choice but to leave Surya.

Surya meets Chitra who is in the confinement of his men. She is full of fury and rage against him. Surya boards her in his car to drop her at home. While on the journey he explains to her how deeply he loves her. Again she doesn’t believe him.

The moment they arrive at the commissioner’s home, hundreds of policemen surround the car, but Surya steps out of the car daringly and says to the commissioner that he is deeply in love with Chitra and he would withdraw from all his activities if he agrees for his marriage with her.
The commissioner doesn’t agree for this. Then Surya responds in a challenging way that he will marry Chitra by establishing himself as the new age Bhai beyond and against the whole system.

From this point to succeed in his love how Surya reaches the pinnacle of success and attains his dominion over the country and finally how he wins Chitra’s heart is the crux of the story.
