Unniyappam | ഉണ്ണിയപ്പം
Traditional unniappam is a favorite Kerala's sweet snack made during festivals, offerings, family gatherings etc..
This is soft golden brown fritters made using, ripe banana ,coconut and rice. The fermented batter is pourned into special mouls called unniappa chatty and fried in ghee or coconut oil until crisp on the outside and soft inside.

Ingredients
Rice 1 c
Jaggery 150g
Water 1/4 c
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
Cardamom 1
Salt 1/4
Mysore poovan 3
Ghee 1/2 tbsp
Coconut bits 2 tbsp
Sesame seeds 1/2 tsp
