Van Halen performing an early version of the unreleased 'Believe Me,' from the soundboard master recorded at the Starwood January 18, 1977 just prior to the band's signing by Warner Bros.
Note that this recording circulates in varying quality with numerous mislabelled dates. Only this version is correctly labelled and from the true Starwood soundboard master.
I was at this gig, and Eddie was playing two guitars; a pale pistachio green Gibson ES 335, and a white Ibanez Destroyer, neither of which had a whammy bar. No "Strat" of any kind was used, and Eddie was not yet tapping.
