LPU Protest: Students Deny Rape Claim, Later Allege Video Was Scripted And Released Without Consent

Описание: LPU Protest: Students Deny Rape Claim, Later Allege Video Was Scripted And Released Without Consent

The protest at Lovely Professional University (LPU) has intensified after three hostel students who appeared in a university-released video denying an alleged incident later claimed that they were instructed on what to say and that parts of their statements were edited.
The students have also alleged that the video was released without their consent, while the university has maintained that the rape-related claims were false and fabricated.
The controversy has triggered further student protests, with demonstrators blocking the Jalandhar-Phagwara highway. Police have registered a case based on statements related to the alleged assault, while LPU has suspended classes for 10 days as the campus situation remains tense.
