Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel.
In this video I am building a planter box out of fence boards leftovers. I have some scrap cedar wood off-cuts left over from building a fence, and a recycled mushroom container.
The mushroom container insert is about the size of a pint of produce, and the wooden box is slightly larger than that.
I looked at some similar DIY videos, and the ones I have seen all use screws or nails to put the wooden box together, but the truth is, the cube planter is relatively small, and you don't really need to use anything other than some good wood glue. This way, you get a much nicer finished look than when the fasteners are visible.
I am using GORILLA WOOD GLUE in this video, and my end result is sturdy and solid - no other fasteners required.
The natural wooden look goes well with mini succulent arrangements, and I may make more wooden cube mini planters like this one, for my succulents.
It is an easy DIY. The hardest part is having patience for precise measurements so that your insert fits nice and snug, but the time taken to measure precisely is well worth it.
