The first phase of assembly elections in Bihar is underway today. Voting is underway in 121 of the 243 seats in the first phase. Raghopur is one of the eye-catching seats. RJD candidate Tejashwi Yadav is contesting from Mahua seat. Tejashwi's grandfather Tej Pratap is contesting from Tarapur seat. BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chowdhury is contesting from Tarapur seat. Voting will be held in Alinagar seat in this phase. Folk singer Maithili Thakur is contesting here on a BJP ticket. Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha has been nominated from Lakhisrai seat.
