Holy Trinity Church once stood at this spot next to Commercial Road in South Shields.
Between 1834 and 1848 2196 burials took place here.
The church was demolished in 1980 and turned into a garden.
The headstones were removed.
You can still see the outline of the church as the lowest part of the walls still stand.
There is no plaque or any headstone left to even indicate that over two thousand people are buried there.
